During the sunny months I teach Beach Yoga as often as I can! Living on the beautiful island of Jersey I feel blessed to have access to its many beautiful beaches. The summer is short ... but sweet and so I try to make the most of it! Lose the walls, commune with nature and feel the sand in my toes!
There are so many benefits to taking yoga outside. It is a way to supercharge our senses whilst we take in ALL aspects of our surroundings, the feel of the ocean breeze, the sounds of the waves, the birds singing... Time to unplug, lose the 'tech haze' and get more in tune with ourselves. Yoga outdoors can help you feel even more relaxed than inside! Plus its the best way I can think of to boost your Vitamin D which we all need to feel happy and stay healthy! On warmer days there is the added benefit that you even have the opportunity to cool off in the ocean afterwards!
These sessions are determined by the tides and, as one would expect the weather! I always announce my beach yoga locations and times on my facebook page, as well as by email a few days in advance. Beach yoga is suitable for ALL levels, no experience necessary, men and women, as well as 'older' children and teens.
The price is just £5.
Come with sunglasses and sunscreen, bare feet and if you don't have a mat, just bring a towel!
